Link Between Birth Control Pills and Brain Cancer

A study in the British Journal of Clinical Pharmacology shows that using birth control pills greatly increases the risk of glioma, a rare form of brain cancer.  

"The researchers found that those who used contraceptives containing only progestin for more than five years had a risk that was 2.4 times higher than the control group. Those who used other types of birth control saw their risk for glioma raised, but not quite as high.

Overall, women who had used hormonal contraceptives at any point for any length of time had a 50 percent higher of developing the tumor than those who had not. "

Thank you, I had not heard of this. I knew that there is a connection with the pill and breast cancer. Contraceptives have been shown to be unhealthy and yet they are still being pushed on women.

It's terrible the way our society seems to have gone pill crazy. I've personally had doctors try to bully me into taking them. It's horrible.
