Mass for Louis XVI on live video
Hello all,
If you're not able to attend a Requiem Mass for Louis XVI today, there is one you will be able to watch online in just about 4 hours (7 pm French time) on this channel. https://m.youtube.com/channel/UCIz1_vK-gfwd26Q3cIvDxPg I highly recommend taking an hour to watch in unison to pray for our martyred king and for the salvation of France. Vive le Roi!
Je meurs innocent de tous les crimes qu'on m'impute. Je pardonne aux auteurs de ma mort. Je prie Dieu que le sang que vous allez répandre ne retombe jamais sur la France.

Re: Mass for Louis XVI on live video
And, it has ended. O mon roi ![Sad](https://2img.net/i/fa/i/smiles/icon_sad.gif)
I was looking forward to this Mass for a long time as I dearly love our king and queen martyrs and it's one of the few authentic, contemporary public expressions of the French Catholic Monarchy. Yet, it is most bittersweet. I can't help but watch the representative coffin of the king - crowned - even though I know he isn't really there. We mourn anew Louis and the Monarchy. The bright fanfare tone speaks Le Roi est mort, vive le Roi, however this time there is no new king, no faithful grown son or little prince suddenly about to be crowned. Still, whenever I hear Domine Salvum Fac Regem I'm filled with joy and gratitude for the existence of the monarchs while we had them, and hope in a restoration yet to come. I'd like to find a copy of the homily, it was truly well done. Vive le Roi!
