It’s always an interesting exercise as an historian to contemplate the “what ifs” of history. Edward VI of England is just one of those cases. Would he have been the epitome of a Protestant humanist, ruling with a velvet touch? Or would he have become a tyrant like his father? What if he had married Mary Queen of Scots?
