When to laugh and when not to laugh

A giggle here, a guffaw there and you can usually be forgiven for having a hearty sense of humor about life and the things that happen to you. However, if you can't restrain yourself from laughing after everything someone else says, it's likely that you're not so much imbued with a sense of humor as suffering from a sense of inferiority, discomfort around others or just poor reading of social cues. Laughing every time someone comments soon comes off as annoying, offensive or causes you to be dismissed as someone who is unable to ever take anything or anyone else seriously. It's time to strengthen up your sense of what's really amusing and to improve your own sense of self worth.
