Desiderius Erasmus, Humanist
Desiderius Erasmus was a Dutch intellectual and thinker who was a great friend of Sir Thomas More. In 1512, he began his opus: a Latin reworking of the New Testament. He included the Greek text and called it "All of the New Testament". This was used by William Tyndale for his translation of the New Testament into English in 1526.
