Hello, my name is Sophy Laughing. I work in the preservation of antiquities and am an art collector.

I am curious about a post regarding cyphered letters between Marie-Antoinette and Fersen.

In the post (Fersen Legend, Part 2), you write "The letter had no signature, was not in the queen’s handwriting, only in the cipher she used, jotted down by Fersen in cipher. There is no proof it was from the queen but could have been from one of the many ladies with whom Fersen dallied over the years."

Have you seen the original letter? If yes, in which collection?

On a separate note, I very much appreciate the considerable time and effort you have put forth into bringing this information to the public. Congratulations on your success, it is no doubt a reflection of the genuine care you have invested in telling these stories.

Most sincerely,

Sophy Laughing

Welcome, Sophie! Thank you for your kind words! As for the letter in question, it appears to have been lost or destroyed.
