On horseback in a white petticoat.
I am guessing this is from after the Revolution, perhaps around the time of her marriage in 1799.

In the bottom picture she is a complete blend of both of her parents.

I love Madame Royale. I am so glad Elena has been bringing her to more people's attention. Marie-Antoinette is such a charismatic, iconic figure that she tends to overshadow everyone else in her family. Marie-Thérèse, however, while superficially different in personality, had so much of her mother's inner strength, that it is important for people to study both women side by side.
Re: Marie-Thérèse-Charlotte in Art
Thank you, Matterhorn, I agree, they should be studied side by side.

As for Thérèse, the long-cherished wish of Artois was fulfilled, for she consented to purchase a new gown for the occasion. In the dawn glow of her chamber at Hartwell, her ladies had breathed forth their admiration at seeing this princess swathed in softly shimmering folds of oriental silk, a flowing, voile shawl trimmed with silk tassels, high kid gloves and satin slippers, all in purest white. The double band of pearls which bound her head and chestnut coils, the white plumes, the ivory fan, and the nosegay of camellias, accented the simple elegance, modest grandeur, and self-effacing majesty of her slender form. ~from Madame Royale by Elena Maria Vidal

Madame Royale's illness after her father's death.
http://vivelareine.tumblr.com/post/16665714514From the narrative of Marie-Therese de France:
[After the death of the king] … nothing was able to calm the anguish of my mother–we could make no hope of any sort enter her heart; she was indifferent whether she lived or died. She looked at us sometimes with a pity that made us shudder. Happily, grief increased my illness, and that occupied her. My own doctor, Brunier, and the surgeon La Caze were brought, and they cured me in a month

I found this one Elena's site. The only surviving daughter of Louis XVI and Marie-Antoinette imitated her parents' example of alms-giving to the poor. (From Vive la Reine.) Is that a brioche on the mantelpiece?

Interview of the duc and duchesse d’Angoulême in December, 1823 by Etienne Barthélémy Garnier
The duchesse d’Angoulême or Marie Thérèse Charlotte, daughter of Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette, was married to her cousin, Louis Antoine, the son of Charles X (the comte d’Artois) and Marie Thérèse de Savoy, the comtesse d’Artois.
I never heard of this event.
And here is one from around the time of her marriage..

Re: Marie-Thérèse-Charlotte in Art
I never heard of The Interview either, Mata. It might be when Louis-Antoine returned from his victorious campaign in North Africa and MTC was so proud of him.
