My name is pimprenelle (without capital p, please, as our queen always used small letters while writing, my little p is a kind of homage to her ). I live in Brussels where I teach Latin and Greek, and I am a great admirer of Marie Antoinette. Her life, her supernatural courage, her strength, the way she protected her friends, the way she raised her children, the arts she practised with her musicians, the paintings she imagined with Elisabeth Vigee Lebrun, the dresses she dreamed up with Marie Jeanne Bertin...

Contrary to the poor image the revolutionary propaganda gave of her, Marie Antoinette was a sensitive, generous, sensible and very clever lady. I know how well our friend Elena Maria Vidal works to her rehabilitation, and would also like to add my little contribution.
