Bonjour, mes amis!
I am the first member to sign on, I see. I love Marie-Antoinette and the Tea at Trianon blog and look forward to exchanging many thoughts on many topics.
Greetings from Wendy
I am more likely to lurk than to post, but it looks like this will be an interesting forum.
Do we break out the champagne to christen this new endeavor?

Introduction
Dear Elena,
Congratulations for your new forum as well as your lovely blog. I've been waiting for a long time to tell you how much I enjoyed your articles about the royal family. Since 2005 I've been trying to read as much as possible about Louis, Antoinette, the court and the revolution, so I found your blog years ago. Your articles are so informative, they bring that poor royal martyrs closer to the reader, even if someone isn't as interested in this topic as myself. I like your style, too - subjective and passionate, but really, really intelligent, full with original quotes and background work... thank you for everything you post about my favourites!
Anyway, I'm a 20-year-old European girl, originally from Hungary, but last year I managed to start a university in my dream city, Vienna. Sadly, the best ressources about the royal couple aren't available in Hungarian. I miss them, but I suppose the reading audience doesn't really need them. I know only one historian's name from Hungary who kept writing 4-5 articles about the ridiculous myths and misbelieves based on Louis and Antoinette. So your blog is like a "ressource paradise" for me, and thanks God you write in English, as I don't speak French, too.
Thank you for everything again,
Sophie
PS. Sorry for my bad English and I hope I'm writing to the right place

Re: Bonjour, mes amis!
Oh, I was most remiss in missing the introductions! I am very happy to be here, too - thank you, Elena.
I am Christina from England, and although my chief fascination is Queen Victoria's family (her children and grandchildren), I also care very much about Louis and Marie Antoinette.
Thank you for letting me be part of this. I look forward to reading others' posts and will post when I can.

We are honored to have you with us Christina and look forward to learning a great deal from you!
Re: Bonjour, mes amis!
I have also been remiss in failing to stop by here. I am the author of the Cross of Laeken and Sword and Sea blogs, a young American woman but devoted to the Belgian monarchy. I also love Marie-Antoinette and her family and Elena Maria Vidal's novels and articles.
